How Lead Extraction Has Led One Man to a Life of Zero Restrictions

Coming from a big sports family, Carl had always wanted to be an athlete. His dad played a couple years in the NFL, but as a child Carl was unable to play football. His medical condition was diagnosed when he was 14 months old and he was told he would eventually need a pacemaker due to his extremely slow heart rate. Carl received his first pacemaker at age 24 and has since experienced fractured leads that, at the time, were unable to be removed.  After seeing Dr. Manyam, Carl has had all fractured leads replaced. He is now completely MRI safe, and has avoided the long-term risks of lead abandonment.

After 15 Years, Professor finally has a healthy heart

Russell is a collegiate professor in Arizona who loves playing with his grandkids. One day while walking up a flight of stairs with his colleagues he found himself short of breath and in need of help. For fifteen years, Russell was in fourth degree heart failure and didn’t know it. He began seeing Dr. Jost who helped put him on a path to recovery.

Community chef cooking in the kitchen again 

Elisea loves being part of her local community – cooking for her church and for her neighborhood. She also takes care of her sister who suffers from cerebral palsy. Elisea started having tingling and burning sensations in her legs that didn’t allow her to stand for more than a few minutes, forcing her to cook while sitting in a chair and limiting her ability to care for her sister. Looking for relief, she began seeing Dr. Reddy.

Loving mother back in the stands to cheer on her son

Angela is a registered nurse and mother in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She loves nothing more than watching her son play baseball. After a 12-hour nursing shift, she found out her artieries were blocked in both legs and that she has peripheral artery disease. Angela immediately went to see her physician who told her both of her legs would need to be amputated. Her story changed when she was referred to Dr. Walker who saved her legs and gave her new optimism.

Family man brought back to his everyday life

Ian is a father of three living in London and loves his active Sunday afternoons with his family. One day while shopping with his children, he experienced loss of breath and had trouble keeping up with his children, so he sought the help of Dr. Al-Iamee.

Ian lives in southwest London and is a father of three children. As a family ritual, every Sunday Ian and his family would take out the bikes and go for a ride, followed by Sunday lunch at the local pub. Then one day Ian experienced shortness of breath while shopping with his children, so he went to Dr. Al-lame.

Philips employee with a renewed sense of life

Stephen lives in the Chicago area with his wife and three dogs where they enjoy many outdoor activities together. When Stephen was 13, he stood up from a haircut and passed out from swelling in his legs. He also had severe pain in his legs and pelvis. Now twenty-seven and tired of experiencing the same symptoms, Stephen began seeing Dr. Hernandez for his peculiar case.

Cathy is a Michigan local, who loved to walk her dog until she had a minor foot surgery that would not heal completely. She discovered that there was a blockage in her right leg and total a blockage in her left thigh. After a stress test diagnosing her condition, she found Dr. Halabi.

Randall is a self-taught musician who plays in his own one-man, five-piece band in Florida. He had three main grafts in his heart, one of which had scar tissue grow into it. Randall began experiencing circulation issues and loss of breath, which impacted his harmonica playing, so he began seeing Dr. Reddy.
